By accessing or using StillTube ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

StillTube is an AI-powered tool that generates summaries, key takeaways, study notes, and blog posts from YouTube video transcripts. The Service is provided on a free tier (3 summaries per day) and a paid Pro tier (unlimited summaries).

3. User Accounts

You must create an account using a valid email address and password to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to circumvent usage limits or rate limiting
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or abuse the API
• Use automated tools to access the Service beyond normal usage
• Resell or redistribute generated content as an automated service

5. Intellectual Property

Summaries generated by the Service are provided for your personal or professional use. StillTube does not claim ownership of the generated content. However, the underlying AI models, website design, and code remain the property of StillTube.

6. Payments & Subscriptions

Pro subscriptions are billed monthly at $5.99/month via Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges until you cancel. Prices are listed on the pricing page and may change with 30 days' notice.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. AI-generated summaries may not be perfectly accurate. You are responsible for verifying any critical information.

8. Limitation of Liability

StillTube shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding any claim.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account for violations of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting support.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance. We will notify users of material changes via email or on-site notice.

Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

Account Data: When you create an account, we collect your email address and an encrypted password (stored via Supabase Auth).

Usage Data: We track the number of summaries you generate per day for rate limiting purposes. We do not store the content of your summaries or the video transcripts after processing.

Payment Data: Payment information is collected and processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card details on our servers.

Technical Data: We may collect IP addresses, browser type, and device information for security and analytics purposes.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain the Service
• To track usage and enforce rate limits
• To process payments for Pro subscriptions
• To communicate important service updates
• To prevent abuse and maintain security

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

• Supabase — authentication and database hosting
• Stripe — payment processing
• AI providers — video transcripts are sent to AI models for summarization and are not retained after processing

4. Data Retention

Account data is retained while your account is active. Usage counters reset daily. Video transcripts and generated summaries are not stored after delivery to you.

5. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Opt out of non-essential communications

6. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure authentication (Supabase Auth with JWT), and do not store sensitive payment data.

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies and local storage for authentication session management. We do not use third-party tracking cookies.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes via email or on-site notice.

Refund Policy

Free Tier

The free tier of StillTube is provided at no cost. No refunds apply.

Pro Subscription

We want you to be satisfied with StillTube Pro. Here's our refund policy:

• Within 7 days of first payment: If you're not satisfied with Pro, contact us for a full refund. No questions asked.
• After 7 days: We do not offer refunds for the current billing period. You can cancel anytime and retain access until the end of your paid period.
• Billing errors: If you were charged incorrectly or experienced a billing error, contact us and we'll resolve it promptly.

How to Request a Refund

Email support@still-tube.com with your account email and a brief description. We aim to process refund requests within 3-5 business days.

Cancellation

You can cancel your Pro subscription at any time. After cancellation:

• You keep Pro access until the end of your current billing period
• No further charges will be made
• Your account reverts to the free tier (3 summaries/day)
